When can you use Shop Pay Installments?
To have the option of Shop Pay Installments, you must live in the United States and be registered with Shop Pay. When choosing Shop Pay Installments, the following limitations apply: You cannot pay for an order if the order includes currency in any form, including virtual and digital currency, such as gift cards. Orders must be between $50 and $3,000, including shipping and taxes. If you change your Shop Pay phone number, you will also need to update it with Affirm before you can make another purchase using Shop Pay Installments. Shop Pay Installments do not accept Capital One cards, prepaid debit cards, or prepaid credit cards.
Do Shop Pay Installments affect my credit score?
Using Shop Pay Installments will not impact your credit score, as Affirm does not conduct a hard credit check or report to credit agencies. However, late payments and non-payments may affect your ability to use Shop Pay Installments in the future.
What happens if I return a purchase made with Shop Pay Installments?
If your refund amount is less than the remaining balance on your Shop Pay Installments, you can expect one or both of the following: A smaller balance on the final payment Fewer future payments on the remaining loan balance If your refund amount is greater than the remaining balance on your Shop Pay Installments, you can expect to receive the difference as a refund to your original payment method (debit card or credit card) within 3 to 10 business days.
